LIBRARY AND CAMPUS RESOURCES

In UiTM, Library is the most important place that we should go. Many students like to go to library to make an assignment or doing some discussion because library is the most peaceful place in Uitm. Because of that, we should know a little bit or more about library, especially library in UiTM Jengka.
On this topic I will explain about our library and the process that we should know in the library.

HISTORY ABOUT LIBRARY

Has been build on January 1985, Located at Teluk Sisek, Kuantan, Pahang. On June 1993 our library moving to our campus at Bandar Jengka and the name given is "Perpustakaan Al-Bukhari".

On July 2011 "Perpustakaan Al-Bukhari" we have a new build and started operated on 02 April 2012. This new library have capacity around 1511 seats in one time. We also managed our book with Library of Congress (LCC) system.

10 THINGS THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT "PERPUSTAKAAN AL-BUKHARI"

• Our library start operation:

          😁On Monday until Friday on 8.30am until 6.30pm.

          😁On Saturday on 9.30am until 6.30pm.

          😁On Sunday our library is closed.

During exam library will open at night but if capacity students is too small library will not open at night.

• Borrow and return book.

• Process how to borrow and return book.

• Punishment

If student borrow book more than limit day, they will be punnish and students can borrow the book until the pay the punishment. The price only Rm0.20day/book.

If students lost the book, they must inform librarian and they will stop your punishment. But they will given a form and they will give you 14 days to find the book. If not found it, student must pay the price of the book and if not they must fine the book that have same title but in new edition😩.

• Borrow between libraries.

When students use OPAC to find book but the book that they want is not in Perpustakaan Al-Bukhari, stundents can tell the librarian and they will get the book for you without any charge.

• IT Room.

In UiTM Jengka, we have 2 IT room in library. Total PC that we have are 80 PC. In IT room have their own rules.

    😏 You must register your name at counter and left your matric card at the counter.
    😏 You can not save your personal detail or work on PC.
    😏 You may use in one hour only but if students want to use the PC is not much the will extend it.
    😏 You can not install your own software.
    😏 Do not steal any computer equipment.

• Library zone.

1. Relax zone : Students can discuss more relax with the voice that not disturb another group                               discussion.
2. Quite zone : Student have to slow the voice and make sure mobile phone in silence mood.
3. Silent zone : Student not allowed to make any voice here and not allowed too to bring mobile                         phone.

• i-Book KKM.

In this class, Students will be teach about End Notes Software, Online Databases, and Research Work.

APA Style

APA stands for American Psychological Association) style and most use to cite sources with within social sciences.

Basic format for books

Auther, A.A. (Year of publication). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle, Location, Publisher.

example:

Charlotte, Brontë. (1847). Jane Eyre, England, Smith, Elder & Co. of London.

CONCULATION

We have to know more about our library. Not just go to library do your work without want to know the process or the system that our library use. As a students library is one important place to search a book or a new information. So we have and must often go to library.💥
